• Bring your own fully charged laptop.
• Wear a mask, covering your mouth and nose, the entire time you are checking in and testing at school buildings.
• Complete the BSD Health Check before arriving at the test site (ON THE DAY OF THE TEST). Make sure to get a screen shot of the completion page on your cell phone. You can also print or save a ‘print screen’ of the confirmation page from a laptop.
• If you have one, bring a wired or wireless mouse. We will have a few spares if you do not have one. Your trackpad is just fine but a mouse makes it easier and is highly recommended.

Indoor Preseason Training Offered Main Gym Starting Friday 2/5/21:
COVID Pre-Screen Questions:
Safety Protocols:
Facemask is required and needs to be on all-time. Temperature check will be done prior to entry with affirmation that all pre-screen questions are "No". Sign in and write down your temperature. Once signed in, go to your designated court right away and you will be on that court through the duration of the practice. Please arrive early to get our check in process done so we can start on-time.
We will have designated entry door and exit door:
Please see attached power point of a map on where entry will be and where exit will be. Entry door will be the door facing the softball field from the main gym. Exit door will be the door going into the long hallway by the trainer's office and exit outside by the weight room. Please space out while you wait to check in. There should be plenty of room to do that on entry side.
Cleaning equipment after practice:
We will need to use 5 - 10 mins at the end of practice (prior to next group taking on the court) to clean our equipment (nets, pads, antennas...etc.) We need all of you to help getting these equipment cleaned up prior to next session / practice. Many hands make quick work.
Pod Assignments:
Please remember that these assignments are not in any reflection of what team you will be on during the season. There are many schedules to juggle around, and we do want to maximize your time to sharpen your skills. These pods are only for February. Tryout in March will determine which team you will be on, Varsity, JV, or C-Team.
You must be assigned to a pod and stay with that pod. Please contact Coach Zeke if you don’t remember which pod you are in.
Finally, we will not host practice during mid-winter break (2/15 - 2/19).

Coaches and interested athletes will continue to meet virtually Tuesday & Thursday at 4 pm through July via the MS Team meeting until we are in Phase 3 of the re-opening for Washington State. Players please contact Coach Zeke @ hsuz@bsd405.org to be invited.
Please make sure athletes and parents have signed all of the appropriate forms in Final Forms and your athlete has an up to date physical on file with the Jesse Snyder, NHS Athletic director. Please see our Tryout page for details.
Please continue practicing at home drills, good nutrition, foot work and endurance exercises so that players will be ready to return strong to the gym. See our Skill Building page.

March 2020
Dear Newport Community –
In this uncertain time, our hearts are with those families that have had to be hospitalized and or lost love ones due to this Covid-19 pandemic. We are making plans to host our Youth Skills Camp in the event that it has been deemed safe to do so. Please take care and consider the gift we have been given to spend this quality time with our families and plan to check back at the end of April.
See our Camp Page for proposed details.

Impact Testing Announced!
Impact testing is a brain function test that provides our athletic trainers with a baseline to assist in a student’s safe return to athletics should they sustain a concussion. It is required for football, soccer, dive, golf, volleyball, cheer, and drill. The test is valid for two years in most cases. Out trainer will ensure that all athletes who need the test will be tested.
FALL IMPACT TESTING DATES AND TIMES:
Please note that the impact test is not required to tryout or begin practices on August 21st or August 26th. If needed, we will schedule additional testing times and will coordinate those times with coaches so that the testing can be completed at convenient times. There is no need to register in advance for a test.
All Tests will be held in Room 2407

Summer workouts start Tuesday June 4th. See the Tryouts and Calendar for additional details.
