Mini-Volleyball” Camp

On April 23rd & 24th at Tillicum Middle School

Time:  Fri (6pm-8pm) Sat (9 am-12 pm)

This Camp is for 4th, 5th and 6th Grade Girls

Designed for the development of younger volleyball players, this camp allows each player to learn volleyball skills using a variety of drills and games that everyone can be successful at and most importantly, have a lot of fun doing.

Preliminary information for 2010 HS Season is available:

  • First Practice:  August 23, 2010 (tryouts begin)
  • Minimum Practice Days: 10
  • Max # of Games: 16 + Jamboree
  • Season End:  November 13, 2010

Season Ends in 5-Set Match

After defeating Ballard in straight sets earlier in the day, the Lady Knights went 5 against Bothell for the right to advance.  In a very close match, Bothell prevailed, ending Newport's season.  A very exciting year, with a 4th place finish in KingCo 4A.  Congratulations, girls!

2009 Volleyball Banquet

The 2009 Year-End Banquet date has been set and it is Tuesday, November 17, beginning at 6pm.  Please hold this date for our annual Banquet and celebration of Newport Volleyball.  See the announcements section for further details.

Knights Fall to Falcons -- Ballard Next

The Knights fell to the Falcons on Tuesday, November 3, 3-0.  This sets up the third round playoff match between the Ladies and the Ballard Beavers.  The match will be played at Bothell High School at 3pm, Thursday November 5.  A win in the 3pm match sets up a second match at 7pm that same day.  Teamwork to victory!!

Big Playoff Win by Knights

In an extremely dominant performance, the Lady Knights swept their first round playoff match against the Skyline Spartans, avenging a previous loss to the Spartans in the regular season.  With the win Newport advances to the next round on Tuesday, November 3 against the Woodinville Falcons.  Terra Squad?! 7pm Woodinville.   Full playoff details are at (KingCo 4A Playoff Grid)

JV Finishes Season Undefeated

Congratulations go out to the JV Lady Knights for the truly awesome achievement of finishing the season undefeated.  Not only did the team go 11-0 within KingCo 4A, and 14-0 overall, they also posted first place finishes in all three tournaments they entered.  Absolutely fantastic!  Congratulations team and Coach Trachy!

Newport Wins in Redmond

The Lady Knights finished out the regulars season by winning both the Varsity and JV matches with the Redmond Mustang on Wednesday, October 28.  A great way to finish up the regular season!

JV Wins Bothell Tournament

In what has come to be known as the "Smack-Down B-Town Tournament" the JV team continued its strong play this season with another tournament win!  The girls swept all 6 games in the morning pool, and then won 4 out of 5 in the gold bracket to win the championship, ending up 10-1

Knights Fall to Bothell in Five

In five close sets the Cougars outlasted Newport Wednesday in Bothell, dropping the Knights to 9-3 on the season.  JV won their match with the Cougars in two straight.

Newport Tops Inglemoor

Monday October 19 saw Newport celebrate the outgoing senior's last home game with a 3 game sweep of the Inglemoor Vikings.  JV and A also won their matches against the Vikings.

Knights Defeat Eastlake

The Lady Knights won their match against the Eastlake Wolves in straight sets on Wednesday to go 8-2 on the season to date.  Newport also won the JV and A-team matches with Eastlake as well.  Strong support by the Terra Squad and the Newport Band helped the girls in their sweep.  Way to go team!

Varsity Falls to Skyline in Four

On Monday, the Knights lost for only the second time this season to the Skyline Spartans, at Skyline HS.  The A-team also fell to Skyline, but JV saved the day as they prevailed 2-1 in their match with the Spartans.

Newport Supports the Susan G Komen Breast Cancer Foundation            Steven Chin

Newport Volleyball Helping Find a Cure

In their match against Eastlake Wednesday, October 14, Newport Volleyball held a fundraiser to support the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.  T-shirts and other items were sold and the Eastlake Wolves showed their support as well.  A great way to give back to the community and benefit a very deserving cause.  $418 has been raised to-date.

Newport Sweeps Ballard

The Lady Knights swept three quick sets in Ballard on Wednesday night to improve to 7-1 over all this season.  Strong, consistent serving was the key to victory in this match.  Congratulations Newport!

Newport Tops Roosevelt

After splitting the first two sets with the Roughriders, and trailing in the third game, Newport showed resolve to push through to victory.  Nice work Lady Knights!

Comeback Win Against Garfield

After dropping a close first set, the Lady Knights redoubled their efforts and won the next three to defeat the Garfield Bulldogs 3-1.  Great work girls!  JV and A won their matches against Garfield as well, with scores 2-1 and 2-0 respectively!

Newport Downs Lake Washington

The Lady Knights took three straight from the Lake Washington Kangaroos to tally a road victory and even their records at 1-1.  JV also won their match against the Lake Washington side 2-0.

Newport Sweep Bellevue 3-0

Before a large contingent of the Terra Squad, Newport defeated cross-town rival Bellevue Wolverines in straight sets.   JV and A also won their matches 2-0 against Bellevue.

Knights Defeat Falcons 3-0

In a very entertaining match, the Lady Knights opened the season at home before a vocal audience, defeating the Kentlake Falcons 3-0.  The Knights overcame an early deficit in set one to win and then never looked back as they swept their match in three.  JV also won their match against Kentlake, while the A team fell 2-0.
